Montana celebrates Saint Patrick’s Day with Races

With February now in the rear view mirror, and Spring looming around the corner, thoughts of warmer days, sunlight past 6pm, and drier roads and trails begin to creep into my mind.  What else comes with this time of year, beyond showing your pasty white thighs to the world for the first time since October?  That’s right, Saint Patty’s day.  This holiday has proven to be one of the most celebrated dates on the calendar for race organizers and runners alike.  Perhaps it is the excuse to drink green beer post race, perhaps the opporunity to wear obnoxious sparkling green outfits, or simply to celebrate your Irish heretige.  Whatever the reason, and wherever you live in the state, there are opportunities for you to be involved in a St patty’s day running event.  Here are a few races below to motivate you to dress up in green from head to toe and get your run on!
